Why is grass-fed better for us?
According to scientific study (USDA and Clemson University 2009), “labs grazing in pasture had 14% less fat and about 8% more protein compared to grain-fed lamb”
Grass fed lamb is a great source of iron, as well as vitamin B12,niacin and zinc, comparatively more so than other red meat. It also has one of the higest levels of CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) and omega 3.
And don’t forget, it tastes fantastic!! The flavour of grass-fed lamb is such that you don’t need to add too much to it, of course you can create fantastic dishes with it but our favourite way to cook this beautiful meat is in the slow cooker, there is nothing better to come home to.
